Hi! I’m Hilary…

I’m the founder + principal designer behind Single L Studio, where thoughtful design meets real life....and never takes itself too seriously.

My love for interiors started early. As a kid, I studied architectural plans + design magazines the way some kids read novels, always imagining how spaces could look + feel. After 20 years in the corporate world (and a life-resetting cancer battle) I decided it was time to follow that lifelong pull toward design.

I spent the last two years working as an interior design assistant, learning the industry from the inside out + refining my design voice. Today, Single L Studio creates homes that feel inviting, layered, and intentional....beautiful yet livable, elevated but never precious. I believe great design should make you feel something… ideally comfort + joy.

When I’m not designing, I’m a wife + mom to a teenage son who keeps me grounded + reminds me that perfection is overrated and homes are meant to be lived in.
